Welcome Campers and Campfires
We would like to welcome Campers and Campfires to the world, the brother blog to Loving Living Green. Sean has been hard at work creating a blog that accommodates fellow campers. Even though we have experience in camping, like with anything in life, there is always something to learn. As we continue to learn about camping, we would like to share our knowledge with you.
When Sean and I first decided to start blogs, it was because we believe that the greatest education a person can receive is exposure. In 2015, we purchased a camper and Sean had never been camping before. However, with an open mind, asking lot of questions to friends and family, and plenty of YouTube videos, he is now very proficient around the campsite.
We were fortunate that when we first began camping, our camper was purchased from my parents. My mom had the inside essentials stocked and my dad had all the tools needed for situations that may arise while camping. We have added to their stock over the years, and we are now self-sustaining. However, when just starting out, there is a lot to learn and purchase. If you are interested in camping, we hope that you will visit the new blog. Also, if there is something in camping you are interested in learning, please let us know.
Campers and Campfires gives tips and tricks to make camping easier and more relaxing. For instance, we see so many fellow campers at campgrounds who manually turn their stabilizing jacks to the ground. However, with a standard household drill and a bit, those stabilizers will be to the ground in a matter of seconds. However, we were taught this (thanks dad), and now we want to teach others. Or maybe the fact that greasing our wheel bearing never crossed our Happy Camper minds. We found out the hard way how important this was as we were sitting on the side of the highway with a broken camper axle. Our goal is to set campers up for success.
Camping was once a dream of ours and for the last four years, it has been a reality. It is said that campers spend money to live like they are homeless, and unless you have tried, it is hard to understand the beauty in this. Camping is a way of life that is freeing, and we would not trade a minute. If you have never been camping but are interested, we recommend renting an RV and taking the plunge. You never know, it just maybe you writing about camping one day.
Campers and Campfires will publish blog posts bi-weekly to monthly, so it will be a little different from Loving Living Green. However, Sean has an email listserve to keep subscribers up to date on new articles and topics of interest. Please, click HERE and check out the new blog!
