Travel Badger: Prepping Travel Essentials

I had the pleasure of trying Travel Badger to see first-hand how the company makes packing and traveling easier. All opinions are my own.

Our family loves weekend trips. However, I always question taking the trips about 3:30 pm on Friday afternoon, right before we are supposed to leave. We look forward to our weekend escapes for weeks and even months in advance, only to have second thoughts as we try to pack quickly and get out the door. I do TRY to have our packing in order, but it never seems to work out quite like I plan.

This last Friday was no different. We were hustling to get out the door, and I was attempting to check items off of my packing list. However, we were in such a hurry to beat rush hour traffic, that I left guessing if we all had underwear and some sort of clothing for the weekend (I won’t talk about the time that I went on a weekend trip and forgot to pack my clothes). For every minute we delayed leaving, it seemed like it was adding five minutes in traffic according to my navigation.

Thank goodness that my Travel Badger pack had arrived the day before, and although I was worried about what clothes were packed, I had no doubt that we would be clean. I didn’t even have to wonder if I had travel items, I was confident that they were all in my pack.

Recently, I came across Travel Badger and I became very intrigued. Travel Badger customizes all your travel accessories and all you have to do is throw your travel pack into your bag, add clothes, and head out the door. They have travel packs for kids and adults, and you can customize what your pack includes. While riding down the road, I felt a relief that I had not forgotten any essential bath products because they had all been prepared and packed for me.

There are many different choices when creating your travel pack. I was pleasantly surprised when I visited their website and found that organic options are offered by Travel Badger. Organic options are extremely important to me, and the products in my Travel Badger pack were all products that I felt comfortable using.

Travel Badger has four pre-made categories including sir, lady, organic, and kiddo. There are different options based on your needs within those categories. For instance, in the ladies category, you can pick from options such as those specifically tailored for the solo traveler, the sightseer, the adventurer, first-class chic, the weekender, the commuter, and the jetsetter. For guys, they have options such as the expeditioner, the commuter, the backpacker, the rambling man, the odyssey, and the frequent flier. Travel Badger also has individual options that you can add to your pack or you can customize one from scratch.

A major advantage with Travel Badger is that everything in your pack will meet TSA compliance standards. I am nervous just thinking about TSA compliance, so I can just order refills for my Travel Badger and feel confident that I will have no issues at the airport. Travel Badger also has options for our active servicemen and women in our Armed Forces.

My organic Travel Badger is called Organic on the Go. It includes shampoo, conditioner, hand and body lotion, shower gel, lip balm, deodorant, Q-tips, tush wipes, toothpaste, toothbrush, Plackers, a packing list, 2 RFID protectors, and a luggage ID card. Plus, I received a nice, clear travel pack that holds all of the essentials perfectly. My kit costs less than it would have if I purchased the individual items myself.

Among the options for children are kits for kids, babies, and babies with a focus on swimming. I would have loved the baby options when Jackson and Lucy were smaller! However, I do still love the kids’ kits. Never again will I have to worry when Jackson tells me at 10:00 pm that he forgot his toothbrush! The kids’ Travel Badger kit includes tissues, toothpaste, toothbrush, Emergen-C, body wash/shampoo, Band-Aids, an activity pack, Q-tips, flossers, sunscreen, wipes, and lip balm.

Individual items range from medical needs such as Advil to nail and grooming kits, pet travel options, cleaning items, car items, and military options.

I began pondering all the uses for Travel Badger. The company will either ship your pack to you or to the destination in which you are traveling. I love the ship to my destination option because I don’t have to worry about traveling with or buying all of my essentials. Here are a few Travel Badger uses that I thought of…

• Hospital stays- from preparing for surgeries to new babies coming, throw your pack in your bag and feel confident that you will have what you need.
• Summer camps- you can ship the items to your kids and know they have all the travel essentials needed to stay fresh and clean.
• Sleepovers- be assured that your kids have everything they need when spending the night at friends’ houses.
• Weekend and extended trips- throw the packs in your bags on a Friday afternoon and go.
• Gym/sports- you can keep a pack in your gym bag and know that you are prepared to leave the gym clean.
• Gifts for those who travel- this is such a great option for those you know who travel. What a neat idea for newlyweds. They have so much to think about as they leave for their honeymoon. I know they would appreciate a kit to throw in their bags and head out for their post-wedding adventures.
• Babies- always have cleaning essentials in their diaper bag. This would also be an excellent baby shower gift. Swimming options for babies are excellent too! 

I absolutely love clever items, and for me, Travel Badger gives me intelligent, economical, and efficient traveling options. I wanted to learn a little about the people behind such a smart traveling option, so I researched the owners. Travel Badger was created by two moms who wanted to make packing and traveling easier for their families. Like all moms that I know, they were tired of needing that Q-tip or toothbrush that they forgot to pack (I have experienced this so many times!!!).
